11,181 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 24.33%
Sofia, January ... (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 841,785, after 45,956 tests identified 11,181 new infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. This is an absolute record since the first case was registered in the ciuntry nearly two years ago. The new cases are 1,185 more than the ones regisered on Monday, yet another record. The test positivity rate now stands at 24.33 per cent.
The active cases are over 170,000.
Ninety-one fatalities were reported, 92.31 per cent unvaccinated. New hospital admissions numbered 660. Currently, hospitalized number 5,259, including 554 in intensive care.
With 18.990 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, slightly over 4 million vaccine doses have been administered so far, nearly 2 million people are fully vaccinated, and slightly over 500,000 have received a booster jab./RY/BR/БР/
