Germany Lifts Registration, Self-Isolation
Mandate for Arrivals
from Bulgaria

Sofia, December 19 (BTA) - Effective December 19, arrivals from Bulgaria in Germany will no longer be required to register on http://www.einreiseanmeldung.de before their trip and to self-isolate after entering the country, now that the Robert Koch Institute has dropped Bulgaria from its list of high risk countries, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The requirement to produce a certificate of recovery from COVID-19, vaccination or negative test remains continues to apply to all persons arriving in Germany from Bulgaria except children under 12.

As from December 20, Switzerland will require a negative PCR or rapid antigen test result from all arrivals even if they are vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday. Also from that date, persons holding proof of vaccination or recovery from coronavirus will be exempt from the requirement to take a second test between the fourth and the seventh day after entry into Swiss territory, the Bulgarian Embassy in Bern said.
