Education Ministry Introduces
Green Certificate Requirement
Starting January 24, 2022

Sofia, December 20 (BTA) - Education and Science Minister Nikolai Denkov has issued an order, according to which a green certificate will be required for entering all of the Education and Science Ministry's buildings starting January 24, 2022, the Ministry reported here on Monday. Green certificates prove that the holder has been vaccinated against COVID-19, recovered from it, has antibodies or a negative test result.

The rapid antigen tests will be valid for 48 hours and PCR tests for 72 hours. The Ministry will not have a laboratory on its premises.

No certificate will be required of children or citizens who are visiting the Ministry to submit documents.

People who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons will have to provide a doctor's note proving this. Ministry staff without a certificate will work remotely, if their work allows it, or otherwise they will have to go on an unpaid leave of absence. DT/MY
