1,033 New Cases Confirmed,
Test Positivity Rate at 4.2%
Sofia, December 25 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 733,139 after 24,343 tests identified 1,033 new infections on Friday, December 24, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate for the day was 4.2 per cent.
Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 342 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 118 cases and Burgas Region with 107.
Forty COVID-19 patients died on Friday, bringing the death toll to 30,476.
The infected medical staff reached 17,965 since the start of the pandemic, including 4,762 doctors and 5,942 nurses.
A total of 3,653,426 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far. VE
