"We can be proud of our forefathers who prevented the deportation of Bulgarian Jews," Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov, Rector of the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, said at the opening of an international conference on "The Role of Jurists for the Salvation of the Bulgarian Jews," which the University organized on Thursday.
