Foreign Ministry Extends Condolences to Families of Victims after Lisbon Funicular Incident

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thursday extended condolences to the families of the victims of the deadly Lisbon funicular crash.  "Devastated by the news of so many lives lost in the terrible funicular crash in Lisbon. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic incident and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the Ministry said in a post on the social network X on Thursday. 

Earlier in the day, the Foreign Ministry reported that no Bulgarians were reported hurt in the crash.  

Portugal is observing a national day of mourning today. Authorities have so far reported 17 dead and 21 injured.
