Security guarantees for Ukraine must include sustainable support from both Europe and the US, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov wrote on the social network X following Sunday's video conference of the so-called Coalition of the Willing. In his  words, the online meeting underlined the fundamental task of stopping the killings and supporting a lasting and just peace in Ukraine based on the principles of international law.

The Coalition of the Willing held the video conference in preparation of the meeting of European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with US President Donald Trump in the White House on Monday. Among the participants in Sunday's meeting were French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
