The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has opened a 24-hour hotline to provide information and assistance to Bulgarian nationals amid the escalating situation in the Middle East, Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev said, as quoted by his Ministry’s press service on Friday. Georgiev has held talks with Bulgaria’s diplomatic representatives in all countries across the region.

“The Bulgarian government remains fully committed to offering adequate assistance and support wherever it is needed or sought,” Georgiev said.

“We are monitoring with growing concern the escalating tensions in the Middle East. Security risks, rising tensions and threats to the lives and health of citizens in the countries are currently our greatest concern,” he added.
