Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova will pay a working visit to the Netherlands on October 5, the Foreign Ministry said on its website on Sunday.
In The Hague, she will meet with Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen.
As part of the visit, Petrova will meet with Secretary General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration Dr Marcin Czepelak. On behalf of Bulgaria, she will present a hand-crafted oak lectern made by the National High School of Applied Arts “Tryavna School” in Tryavna. As BTA reported, the lectern will add to the collection of the Peace Palace, which houses the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the oldest and most active international court.
The donation is an expression of Bulgaria’s consistent commitment to international law and the peaceful settlement of disputes, the Foreign Ministry said.
The programme also includes a visit to the Netherlands Institute of International Relations “Clingendael”, where diplomatic training, institutional cooperation and connectivity will be discussed.
