Mountain conditions are not suitable for tourism, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA. The weather is cloudy, foggy in some parts, with temperatures around 0C and 5C. The higher parts are still covered with snow.

Friday's mountain weather forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology says that clouds will increase and thicken. In the afternoon, rain is expected over the mountains in Western Bulgaria, turning to snow above 2,000 m. A moderate wind will blow from the south. Highs: 11C at 1,200 m, and 3C at 2,000 m.
