Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020, Ivet Goranova, has won the Grand Winner award from the World Karate Federation (WKF) for her achievements so far in 2025. The prestigious Grand Winner title is awarded to the top-ranked competitor in each of the 12 categories at the end of the Karate 1-Premier League season.

Goranova received the award in the kumite -55 kg category during a special ceremony in Rabat on Sunday. Her success this year includes a gold medal in Cairo, a bronze in Hangzhou, and another bronze at the continental championships in Yerevan.
