The weather conditions for tourism in the mountains are poor, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross told the Bulgarian News Agency on Saturday.

It is cloudy across the country, with rain hitting the western part of the country. Rainfall is also expected over the central parts later in the day. In many places there will be short-term, temporarily intense and significant rainfall, with thunderstorms and hail.

Less intense rainfall is expected in Eastern Bulgaria. There will be moderate north-northwesterly wind, which will temporarily strengthen and change its direction during the thunderstorms.

Maximum temperatures will reach between 19C and 24C, in Sofia between 18C and 19C.
