Vulnerable groups such as Roma, refugees, third-country nationals and unemployed individuals will be supported to access the labour market, social system and healthcare services, the Human Resources Development Programme (HRDP) governing authority said Thursday on its website.
BGN 100 million will be allocated under the Support for Vulnerable and Marginalized Communities measure to municipalities, non-governmental organizations, and community centers (chitalishta) for employment counselling and mediation, career guidance, and psychological support.
Vulnerable and marginalized youngsters will receive targeted support through internships, apprenticeships, and first-job placements. Single parents and parents with multiple children will gain easier access to services, including labour market integration and career development. Community-based motivational activities are also eligible, as well as training for qualification upgrade and soft skills development. The measure will also subsidize employment for a period of up to 12 months.
Social inclusion and healthcare access activities include preventive medical check-ups for uninsured people and information campaigns to address negative stereotypes.
It is expected that under the HRDP 7,560 participants will begin job seeking, employment, or training, while 4,680 individuals will be supported through social or healthcare services.
