site.btaEU Commissioners Valdis Dombrovskis, Ekaterina Zaharieva to Visit Bulgaria

European Commissioner responsible for economy, productivity, implementing and simplifying EU law Valdis Dombrovskis and European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva will visit Bulgaria on June 5 in connection with the 2025 Convergence Report published on Wednesday, the European Commission said.

The agenda of their visit to Sofia includes meetings with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova, and Bulgarian National Bank Governor Dimitar Radev.  

The visit underscores the Commission's support for Bulgaria's efforts to strengthen competitiveness, raise public awareness about the benefits of joining the euro area and the practical steps in this regard, modernize public administration, and unlock the potential of start-ups and research, the press release said.
