site.btaParliament Chair to Open 61st Meeting of BSEC Parliamentary Assembly Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee
Parliament Chair Rossen Zhelyazkov will open Monday the 61st meeting of the Committee on Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC). The meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. on October 2, 2023 in the Ahelo Hall of the Primoretz Hotel in Burgas, on the Black Sea coast.
The head of the delegation of Bulgaria's National Assembly in PABSEC, Petar Kanev, and PABSEC Secretary General of PACIS, Asaf Hajiyev, will make speeches at the opening of the forum. Teodora Ivanova, Chairperson of the State Agency for Child Protection, will be a guest at the event.
"The Role of Parliaments in Strengthening Child Protection Policies in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Member States" will be the main topic of the meeting. Armenian MP Gegham Manukyan will present a draft report on the topic, and members of the Bulgarian delegation will make presentations.
The PABSEC Committee on Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs is scheduled to discuss the report on the main topic. The participants are expected to decide on the topic, date and venue of the next meeting of the Committee.
