site.btaEconomy Ministry, Union of Economists Join Forces to Draw Up Sector Policies, Strategies
Under a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership, signed here on Thursday by Economy and Industry Minister Nikola Stoyanov and the President of the Union of Economists in Bulgaria (UEB), Prof. Dr. Tatiana Hubenova-Delissivkova, the two organizations will draw up jointly policies and strategies for the economy sector, Stoyanov's Ministry said in a press release.
Stoyanov said that cooperation with UEB is important because the problems and challenges facing the Bulgarian economy must be analyzed comprehensively and at a high professional level.
The Ministry and the Union will hold regular meetings and will be working jointly on policies related to the economic environment in this country, consumer protection, dual training, Bulgaria's foreign economic and trade policy, and the transformation of the Bulgarian economy in the transition to Industry 4.0 and climate neutrality.
"It is up to us to create the prerequisites for the modernization and competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy so as to keep more young people in Bulgaria and attract back those who work abroad," Stoyanov pointed out. Prof. Hubenova-Delissivkova said that higher quality and better assessment of labour are needed in the economic sphere, and they are consistently working towards this objective.
Also attending the signing ceremony were UEB vice presidents Neno Pavlov and Petar Neichev, EUB members Viktor Yotsov, Petya Branzova and Yana Palyova of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences' Economic Research Institute, Prof. Vladimir Zinoviev, Director of the Center for Energy Business and Infrastructure at the University of National and World Economy, and Venelin Yordanov, member of the EUB Governing Board and Executive Director of Plovdiv Tech Park AD.
