site.btaQ2 Construction Cost Index Up By 9.6% Y/Y
Between April and June, the total Construction Cost Index increased by 3.4% quarter-on- quarter, and by 9.6% from the second quarter of 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday.
Data from the NSI show that in the first quarter of the year, costs in the sector increased by 0.9% compared with the previous quarter and by 14% compared with the same quarter of 2025.
In the second quarter, the producer price index for construction materials on the domestic market increased by 3.4% compared with the first quarter of 2026 and by 10% compared with the same quarter of 2025. At the beginning of the year, statistical data showed that producer prices had risen by nearly 4.5% compared with the previous quarter and by 15.04% compared with the first quarter of 2025.
