site.btaThird Edition of AmCham Bulgaria Student Hackathon Kicks Off in Sofia

The third edition of the student hackathon organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria officially kicked off in Sofia. This year’s Hackathon 3.0 is being held in cooperation with four Bulgarian universities and ten companies. The event is taking place at Tech Arena at the Technical University of Sofia. Bulgarian News Agency is media partner of the initiative.

The theme of this year’s hackathon is “Tech-for-Good: Local Impact”, with students working over the next month on challenges in areas such as cybersecurity, soil erosion, mobility, smart cities and more. A total of 17 case studies have been prepared, with teams receiving guidance and support from 29 mentors representing partner companies and universities.

The hackathon will conclude with the selection of a grand winner, as well as awards in two additional categories: “Most Innovative Solution” and “Best Team”.
