Bulgaria is in the final stage of its long and dedicated efforts to join the euro, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said Sunday in a Facebook post.

“Just 25 days until Bulgaria joins the euro – the final stretch of a long and dedicated effort,” Lagarde wrote.

On Monday, the day sales of starter kits of euro coins denominations with a Bulgarian national side began, the ECB President also published a message on the topic on her profile. “One month until Bulgaria joins the euro and the new Bulgarian coins start travelling across the euro area!” Lagarde noted then.
