site.btaSofia to Host LOOK – Ecology and Technology Annual International Project

Sofia is hosting the LOOK – Ecology and Technology annual international project which opens at the Charta Gallery on October 6. The project explores the dynamic relationship between ecology, nature and new technologies through exhibitions and artistic research.

The second opening night is on October 14 at Arosita Gallery, Depoo Gallery, Little Bird Place, Posta Space and the National Museum of Natural History with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the organizers said.

The project was initiated and created by Rositsa Getsova and Elisabeth Thalauer and brings together artists from different generations and cultures. Participating are Ivelina Ivanova, Zlatka Yaramova, Kaliyah Kalacheva, Kalin Mihov, Maria Minkova, Nikolay Konstantinov, Raw Lab (Roslana and Radina Iotovi), and the art duo Fuerer Nielsen (Andreas Fuеrer and Sonjoi Nielsen)

The artworks highlight artistic interpretations of environmental issues and the innovative use of technology in art, while also promoting the Bulgarian contemporary art scene in an international context. According to the project team, the initiative emphasizes innovation in art and technology, creative engagement with ecological themes, and the global visibility of Bulgarian artists.
