A recently discovered musical piece by Mozart called Ganz kleine Nachtmusik (A Very Little Night Music) will be performed in Bulgaria for the first time. It will be presented at the concert Baroque Pictures, which will take place at the Boris Denev Art Gallery in the medieval Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo on August 20, the gallery said on Wednesday.

The work, discovered in 2024 in the Leipzig Music Library, was written in 1760, when Mozart was a teenager, the organizers explained.

The concert is a project by the Ars Nova Chamber Ensemble and includes works from the Baroque era from all over Europe. The programme features compositions by Monteverdi, Bach, Purcell, Pachelbel, Handel, Albinoni, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Michael Praetorius, Vivaldi, and Mozart.

The chamber ensemble includes Konstantin Kosev and Paulina Zaharieva (violins), Yulia Kirova (viola), Neli Hazan (cello), Manuela Manolova (organ/harpsichord), and Atsufumi Ujiie (recorders and tambour).

On June 26, BTA signed an agreement to popularize the municipal calendar of cultural events in Veliko Tarnovo, among which the concert holds an important place.
