The Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia will co-organize the Physics-IQ Challenge, the university's press centre said.
The event will be held as part of the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), which will take place in Hawaii, US, on October 19. ICCV is one of the most prestigious international conferences in computer vision, a key technology behind autonomous vehicles, image and video analysis, medical diagnostics, and more, Sofia University said.
The Physics-IQ Challenge aims to evaluate how well generative artificial intelligence models can produce videos that accurately reflect the laws of physics.
Top scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Washington, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Texas at Austin have been invited to participate.
INSAIT has had 11 scientific papers accepted to ICCV 2025. One of them has been selected for an oral presentation, which places it among the top one percent of submissions, the university said.
