site.btaSofia to Host Balkans’ Only Ukulele Festival in August

The seventh edition of the only ukulele festival in the Balkans Uke Fest will take place on August 30 at Kino Cabana open-air space, Sofia, the organizers said here Monday.

"With free admission and a colorful programme of workshops, a flash mob, concert, and a special event for children, the festival will once again bring together both emerging and established performers and inspire the audience to experience the magic of this small but beloved instrument," the organizers added.

This year’s highlight will be the participation of Charlotte Pelgen, a ukulele player from Germany. The music programme will also feature Ilin Papazyan-Ninio and Zvezdolet and Funkilicious bands.
