High school students from Bosilegrad watched the online presentation of the issue of LIK magazine dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Christo and his wife Jeanne-Claude.
The LIK launch event was held simultaneously at the Christo and Jean-Claude Centre in Gabrovo and BTA’s MaxiM Hall in Sofia, with the participation of the BTA national press clubs in the country and abroad via video link.
Little is known about Christo in Bosilegrad, but thanks to the second edition of the Days of Bulgarian Documentary Cinema, organized by the local GLAS association in September 2024, for the first time the people of Bosilegrad had the opportunity to get acquainted with the artistic couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude. A film about Christo in Japan by director Emma Konstantinova and producer Georgi Toshev was presented to Bosilegrad documentary audiences.
Most of the high school students from Bosilegrad who attended the presentation of the LIK magazine dedicated to Christo and Jeanne-Claude indicated that this was the first time they had heard about his art, life and constant pursuit of freedom. They were impressed by his modern art and promised to further familiarize themselves with his entire work.
All those present at the presentation expressed their compliments to the LIK magazine team for choosing to dedicate the June issue of the publication entirely to the life and work of Christo.
