site.btaBulgarian Antarctic Institute Head Pimpirev to Deliver Lecture in Ohrid

Prof. Christo Pimpirev, President of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute Executive Board, will deliver a public lecture on "Half a Century of Bulgarian Scientific Research in Antarctica" in Ohrid on Thursday, the Institute said.  

The event will take place at the invitation of the University St. Kliment Ohridski - Bitola, the University's Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality - Ohrid, the University's Hydrobiological Institute - Ohrid, and the Bulgarian Consulate General in Bitola.

Accompanying the lecture will be a photo exhibition on Antarctic topics, a screening of Zhivko Konstantinov's popular science film Antarctica, and a presentation of Iglika Trifonova's book "Christo Pimpirev: The Antarctic Hitchhiker."
