site.btaKite Festival Takes Place in Silistra

Children from Silistra, northeastern Bulgaria, took part in the fifth Kite Festival organized by the local foundation entitled "Man, Nature, Health".  

According to Foundation Chairman Nedko Belev, the aim of the initiative is to draw public attention to natural energy resources such as the sun and the wind and to encourage children to go out in nature more often.

Guest of the event was former military pilot from Varna Yuri Georgiev, who has organized similar events in different places around the world. He said that flying kites is a culture that started two thousand years ago.

All participants in the celebration received certificates and prizes.
