The 50th edition of the International Book Fair was unveiled here on Tuesday. For six days over 170 publishers will present their latest and most popular editions for children and adults, and visitors can choose from over 100,000 titles, the organisers from the Bulgarian Book Association said.

The Bulgarian Book Association is presenting its annual Golden Lion Book Publishing Awards at the fair. The criteria by which the nominated publishers are judged are polygraphic execution, quality of the text and contribution to national culture. There are two categories - "Best Publishing Project" and "Publishing Project with the Greatest Public Significance".
