site.btaTaraclia Celebrates World Poetry Day


A literary event under the motto "Everything that connects us is beautiful" took place Tuesday at the Taraclia District Library on the occasion of World Poetry Day. Poet Nadezhda Tanova, host of the literary salon, told the history of the Day, made a presentation about important periods of its development, together with the librarians spoke about classics and contemporary poets from different cultures and nationalities.
The event also included the opening of a new club, entitled "Inspiration from the Lyre", for aspiring poets and creative youth. Students and other poets from the city and area are invited to join the club. The theme of the club's first creative meeting was "Poetry is a fountain of magic words and sounds", the library said.
Tanova said the goal of the newly formed club is to bring aspiring poets together. It aims to give creative youth at the library an opportunity to socialize and spend their free time among their like-minded peers and older mentor poets.
The literary salon was held with candles lit, all participants read their poetry and shared about themselves.
