site.btaCouncil of Ministers Approves Bulgaria-Azerbaijan Cultural Programme 2025–2029

The Council of Ministers approved on Thursday a draft programme for cooperation between the Culture Ministries of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan for the period 2025–2029, as the previous such programme for 2019–2023 expired on December 31, 2023. 

The draft programme addresses the shared interests of both countries and includes provisions to develop practical cultural relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. It outlines cooperation in music, visual arts, museums and galleries, movable and immovable cultural heritage, the return of illegally exported cultural assets, books and libraries, cinema, folklore, opera, drama, puppet and circus theatre.

The programme also provides a framework for experience exchange and for deepening cooperation in cultural and creative industries.
