Now that the no-confidence motion against the Cabinet has been defeated in plenary, the Government and the National Assembly should work, and there must be a State, MRF - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski commented on Thursday. He told journalists he was not surprised by the vote. "It is a waste of time that you waited. This will be the result for three years and four months," he noted.

Talking about the motion's sponsors, he said: "These people need to understand that there must be democracy. They need to learn what courage is, which they lack. I will show them and I will show them more and more. Bulgaria will exist. It will be a State, not a Soro-like community. I am the guarantor of that," Peevski added. He was referring to investment financier George Soros.

The fifth no-confidence motion was submitted on September 12 by Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) and Morality, Unity, Honour (MECH), who accuse the Zhelyazkov Cabinet of a systematic failure in maintaining public order and security, ensuring justice, and tackling the erosion of state institutions. The motion was co-signed by MPs from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms).
