site.btaGERB Leader Borissov Assures EPP Will Propose Amendments to Report on North Macedonia

Commenting on the draft report of the European Parliament on the Republic of North Macedonia, which was approved by MEPs in the Foreign Affairs Committee, GERB leader Boyko Borissov told journalists, “The amendments we want to see in the report on North Macedonia will be proposed by the European People's Party (EPP).”

“I spoke with Manfred Weber and the European People's Party, the EP report does not bind with anything, the amendments will be proposed by the entire European People's Party and the Treaty of Good Neighbourliness and the “French compromise”, as we call it, will not be circumvented. The EPP is not only the largest but also the most powerful and we will be able to do so to protect our history and our country,” the GERB leader added. 

He thanked all MEPs in the European Parliament. “We are making efforts both through the government and the European Parliament,” Borissov added.
