The ban on exporting insulin and some antibiotics remains in place, as stipulated in an order by the Minister of Health, published on the Ministry of Health’s website on Monday. The order will be in force from June 24 until July 27.
The ban covers the export of certain insulins and analogues under the name Semaglutide in injectable form as well as antibiotics of the Azithromycin group sold as powder for oral suspension and granules for oral suspension.
The Ministry's analysis suggests that there is difficulty in supplying some of the products listed in the order due to an irregular supply, supply of less than what was ordered in 11 to 13 regions of the country.
In the previous export ban order, only exports of certain insulins and analogues were restricted, while antibiotics could be exported.
