Four foreign students are studying at the Yambol-based Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Trakia University in Stara Zagora, Professor Vanya Stoykova, Dean of the Faculty, told BTA. Three students from Ukraine and one from Russia are enrolled in Road Transport and Agricultural Machinery, Design, Technology and Management of the Fashion Industry, Food Safety and Quality, and Automation and Computer Systems.
“Under the Erasmus programme and other programmes, we have two students from the Republic of North Macedonia in the Master's Food Safety and Quality programme, one student from Kazakhstan in the Master's Automation and Computer Systems programme, and a student from Turkiye in our Bachelor's programme. A student from Romania has recently completed a mobility programme in Food Safety and Quality practical training,” she added.
Over 1,060 foreign students are studying in various programmes at Trakia University in Stara Zagora, the University's press center told BTA. Foreign students from 44 countries from different parts of the world study at the university, including Australia, Albania, Bangladesh, Egypt, Zimbabwe, India, Canada, Mongolia, and South Korea. Over 140 first-year foreign students began their studies in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the university in the 2024/2025 academic year alone.
