site.btaDefence Minister, Ukraine Ambassador Meet

Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov reaffirmed Bulgaria's commitment to support Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration processes during a meeting with Ambassador Olesya Ilashchuk on Friday. He stressed that Bulgaria will continue to provide the necessary assistance, the Defence Ministry said. 

Ambassador Ilashchuk expressed gratitude for the support provided by Bulgaria so far. She noted that Bulgaria has always been a strategically important and close partner of Ukraine.

The two sides expressed confidence that the effective bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest would be developed and built upon. The meeting was attended by Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov and Colonel Dmytro Lukachuk, Defence Attache of Ukraine.
