The government adopted an action plan for 2025 for the implementation of the National Programme for the Prevention of Violence and Child Abuse 2025-2026, the Council of Ministers reported in a press release on Wednesday, covering the ministers’ weekly meeting. The document provides a framework for coordination among the organizations engaged in fighting violence and child abuse.
The action plan is geared towards curbing child abuse and child exploitation and collecting uniform data about such cases, improving coordination and interaction among the institutions, enhancing the capacity of professionals working with children, raising children’s and parents’ awareness of the said malpractices, encouraging civic engagement, and changing public attitudes to foster zero tolerance for all forms of violence.
The plan describes initiatives, activities and campaigns to be conducted by central government institutions and municipal authorities this year. It includes measures against cyber harassment, online risks and road trauma.
