Velichie Floor Leader Ivelin Mihaylov attended an official ceremony marking 149th anniversary of the April Uprising, which was held in front of the Monument of the April Uprising in Koprivshtitsa, Central Bulgaria on Thursday. The 1876 Bulgarian April Uprising against the Ottoman Empire precipitated the 1877-1878 Russo-Turkish War that led to Bulgaria's liberation. 

"When I look at the reenactment here in Koprivshtitsa, it reminds me a lot of the situation today, but this time we have reversed the roles and sometimes the oppressor is internal, not external," Mihaylov said. 

Commenting on Labour Day, he addressed young people by saying that labour should be the only thing that will make them happy. He said young people should not look for what is easy, but to express themselves through work, and wished them to work with desire in a field they love.
