The conditions for tourism in the mountains are relatively good, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross announced Tuesday.

In the mid part of the Balkan Mountains, calm weather with scattered clouds prevails.

Since there is still snow in the highest parts of the mountains, tourists should be cautious, MRS advises.

According to the weather forecast, it will be mostly sunny in the higher parts of the country, cumulus-rain clouds will form in the mountains of Western and Central Bulgaria. In many places there will be short-term precipitation with thunderstorms. There will be light wind, mainly from the northeast. Highs: 16 C at 1,200 m, 8 C at 2,000 m.
