site.btaPM Glavchev Takes Up Office as Foreign Minister

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev took up his duties as caretaker Foreign Minister, succeeding Stefan Dimitrov, the Council of Ministers said in a press release on Tuesday.

At the Council of Ministers’ building, Glavchev also held a working meeting with the Foreign Ministry’s leadership. "I count on your professionalism in everyday work," he said, adding that holding fair elections is a top priority for the caretaker cabinet. "For the first time, our Foreign Ministry will organize two-in-one elections - for national and European Parliament, which is an additional reason for serious mobilization," Glavchev stressed.

During the meeting, Glavchev also announced Ivan Kondov’s nomination as Deputy Foreign Minister, with his order of appointment to be signed as soon as possible. Svetlan Stoev will be appointed Foreign Ministry Secretary General.
