The Council of Ministers on Wednesday adopted an Administrative Burden Reduction Plan. The document is the result of the government's efforts to improve the country's regulatory policy, including in the context of Bulgaria's accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
The draft Administrative Burden Reduction Plan contains a total of 253 measures, which are in the following main areas: abolition of required documents, ex officio collection of information, establishment of service provision procedures in law, reduction of time limits, improvement of register administration activities and expansion of their usability in administrative proceedings, etc.
Amendments to 97 laws are envisaged to implement the measures.
The Plan and information on its implementation will be published on the Public Consultation Portal www.strategy.bg.
