The Bulgarian company Terem Holding EAD and Wojskowe Zaklady Lotnicze Nr2 S.A of Poland have submitted initial bids for a contract to repair six engines of Bulgarian MiG-29 fighter jets. This transpires from a new entry in the register of public procurements, published on Wednesday.

The Terem offer is for BGN 15,490,200 pre VAT and customs duty and the WZL offer is for BGN 19,386,186 pre VAT and customs duty.

The Defence Ministry published a call to bids for the MiG engine repairs in April. On May 9 a pre-selection commission announced that two companies  - Terem and WZL - had been approved to submit initial bids.

The estimated value of the procurement is BGN 19.2 million including VAT. The period of the repair work on each of the six engines shall not exceed nine months.
