The extra-parliamentary Velichie party Wednesday has nominated Ivelin Mihaylov as its candidate for President of Bulgaria and Yuliana Mateeva as his running mate. The announcement was made in an address to Bulgarian people by party chair Albena Pekova.

The nominations followed an internal survey and discussions among party members and supporters. The two candidates received more than 90% of the votes, Petkova said.

She called on Velichie’s structures, members, supporters and volunteers in Bulgaria and abroad to conduct the campaign "with dignity, consistency and organization, and to stay close to people".
