Radoslav Gradev, head of the Ruse District Prosecution Office, has been nominated for election to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) representing the prosecutors’ quota, the SJC said.

He was nominated by magistrates from the Ruse District and Regional Prosecution Offices and the Sofia City Prosecution Office, who cited his more than 15 years of legal experience, strong professional and ethical qualities, and proven leadership skills.

Gradev has built his entire career within the prosecution service, beginning as a junior prosecutor in Ruse in 2002. He became a prosecutor there in 2004 and joined the Ruse District Prosecution Office in 2015. Since August 2025, he has served as its administrative head.

Gradev has also served on selection and examination panels for junior prosecutors and magistrates following their training at Bulgaria’s National Institute of Justice.
