The Council of Ministers will discuss the draft 2026 State Budget, the Public Social Insurance draft budget and the draft budget of the National Health Insurance Fund at its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Government information service said.
The agenda also includes draft decisions approving the 2026 financing of the State Agency for Technical Operations, the 2026-2028 Public Debt Management Strategy, and a report by the Interdepartmental Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction with the Economy Minister, Investments and Industry on the implementation in 2025 of the Export Control Act on Defence-Related Products and Dual-Use Items and Technologies, among other items.
The Cabinet is also expected to consider a draft decision proposing that Parliament approve amendments to the investment project Acquisition of Major Combat Equipment for the Establishment of Battalion Battle Groups within a Mechanized Brigade. The proposal also includes approval of Amendment No. 1 (BU-B-UCP A1) to the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) BU-B-UCP for the acquisition of Stryker combat vehicles and Amendment No. 1 (BU-B-UCQ A1) to LOA BU-B-UCQ for the acquisition of FGM-148 Javelin guided anti-tank missiles.
