The Council of Ministers adopted a second three-year plan for the implementation of the National Strategy for Human Resources Development in the Nuclear Field 2022–2032, the government press service reported on Wednesday, covering the ministers' weekly meeting.
Based on seven strategic objectives aimed at improving both the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of human resources in the nuclear sector, the necessary activities for implementation have been outlined.
The measures through which these activities will be carried out have been planned in detail. Indicators have been specified to monitor the measures taken at the end of the reporting period. The specific results expected to be achieved have also been set out. All entities involved in the implementation of the plan – institutions and organizations – are comprehensively listed.
In order to achieve the set strategic objectives, a range of challenges must be addressed by those working with nuclear facilities and by service organizations, as well as in secondary and higher education and in the research field, through the implementation of relevant activities and measures. The specific challenges relate to the search for sustainable solutions in the field of nuclear energy, adequate public information on nuclear energy and its use, attracting young people to technical disciplines, strengthening cooperation between education and business, developing and preserving nuclear knowledge, and targeted support for the development of disciplines related to the nuclear sector.
