At its meeting on Sunday, the National Council of Continue the Change (CC) instructed its elected MPs, while upholding all of the party’s pre-election legislative priorities, to move as quickly and effectively as possible toward the election of a new Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) and a broad package of anti-crisis measures for businesses and people’s incomes in the 2026 budget, the party's press centre said.

The Council also reaffirmed the commitment made in an agreement signed with the Forum for Democratic Action to nominate a joint presidential candidate. The party's Executive Council was given a mandate to propose a candidate as part of the planned nomination process.

On December 1, 2025, the agreement to field a single presidential candidate for the 2026 elections was signed between the parliamentary parties in the Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria coalition (Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria, Yes, Bulgaria, and CC) and the Forum for Democratic Action.

The National Council also confirmed CC’s positioning as a centrist political party, focused on education, healthcare, people’s incomes, and economic development, without increasing taxes.
