BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Vladislav Goranov is the top-of-the-list candidate of GERB-UDF for Varna’s 3rd multi-member constituency, the party press service said here Saturday.

Goranov was born on 30 April 1977 in Pleven. He graduated in Accounting and Control from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov. He accumulated substantial experience in banking and finance before becoming actively involved in politics. He held senior positions in financial institutions engaged in asset management and budgeting, GERB said. He was minister of finance in 2014-2017 and 2017-2020 in Boyko Borissov’s second and third governments.

As minister, he became a member of the Board of Governors of the European Investment Bank on 17 May 2017. During Bulgaria’s first Presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2018, Goranov was also the first Bulgarian finance minister to chair the Economic and Financial Affairs Council, GERB added.
