BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Sevdalin Hushinov is the top-of-the-list candidate of BSP – United Left for Smolyan's 22nd multi-member constituency, the BSP regional leadership said here Saturday.

Sevdalin Hushinov was born in 1967 in Banite village, Smolyan Region, according to information from BSP-Smolyan. He holds a master's degree in pharmacy and has extensive experience in local self-government and active political work in Smolyan Region.

Since 2011 Sevdalin Hushinov has been a municipal councillor in Banite Municipality for five terms, and in two of them was elected chair of the Municipal Council, in 2015-2017 and from 2019 to 2023.

He entered local government in 2011 through a coalition involving BSP. He later became a member of the BSP National Council and chair of the BSP Municipal Council in Banite. Since 2021 Sevdalin Hushinov has been part of BSP candidate lists in Smolyan's 22nd constituency. Hushinov is married and has one child.
