BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Hristo Uzunov is the top-of-the-list candidate of Siyanie (Radiance) for Montana's 12th and Sliven's 21st multi-member constituencies, the coalition said here Friday.

Uzunov was born on 23 August 1968 in Slaveyno, Smolyan Municipality. He completed his secondary education at the Lenin Electrical Engineering Technical School in Plovdiv and his higher education at the Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy – Sliven, graduating as a mechanical engineer. In 2012 he defended a dissertation and obtained a doctoral degree. His academic career began as an assistant, and since 2017 he has been associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Thermal Engineering at the Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy – Sliven.

The formation said his research and teaching work is focused on modelling electromechanical systems, computer simulation of motor vehicle motion and the analysis of road traffic accidents. He is the author and co-author of 88 scientific publications, some of them indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science international databases. He takes part in research projects and supervises doctoral students. He is a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and has been head of department at the Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy – Sliven. He is married and has two children.
