Bulgaria faces a rapidly changing digital landscape and must seek faster, more adaptive solutions, said Stoyan Stavrev of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CRIB) during the conference “From Social Dialogue to Action: The Path of a Just Digital Transition”. The forum was organized by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) and took place at the union’s headquarters.

“Digitalization is a global issue,” Stavrev said, emphasizing the importance of the ethics of those working at the frontlines of artificial intelligence (AI) development. “What we set as input will determine the final product,” he noted, adding that training specialists to work with AI is crucial.

Stavrev highlighted Bulgaria’s IT sector as thriving, with around 60,000 people employed in the industry. He also stressed that social dialogue plays a key role in fostering job growth and ensuring success for workers.
