site.btaGERB Representatives Meet with OSCE Election Observation Mission
Representatives of GERB met with the election observation mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, which will observe the early parliamentary elections on April 19, 2026, the party’s press office said Monday. GERB representatives expressed serious concerns regarding the fairness and transparency of the upcoming electoral process.
The meeting at GERB headquarters was attended by members of the party’s Executive Committee and MP candidates Denitsa Sacheva, Yordanka Fandakova, and Georg Georgiev. Representing the OSCE at the meeting were mission head Dunja Mijatovic and political analyst Jelena Stefanovic.
During the discussion, GERB representatives expressed serious concerns regarding the organization of the electoral process, citing a number of examples to the observers. Among these were reservations regarding the political neutrality of the caretaker government and attempts by the Interior Ministry to exert administrative pressure and influence on the electoral process.
The GERB representatives urged the OSCE to ensure enhanced monitoring of the entire electoral process in the country and to oversee compliance with all international standards for fair and free elections.
